What another post, so soon?!
I'm a little excited, one more week until I see my OB, seems like it's months away! I'm really hoping for an u/s since they say he has been doing them at 8wks, and I will just be a couple days past! I'm not exactly sure why he's waiting until 8wks to see me though... I have my otc prenatals, but still!
School starts back up this week! My little guy will finally have somebody more than mommy to play with! This is also wonderful, just for the simple fact that I can NOT beat this nausea. Ugh!
I took Riley over to the local elementary school park, I had no idea it was open for the public when school was out! It's a 5 min walk from us and we are just NOW figuring this out? Go figure, terrible mommy for not thinking to even look! He had such a blast, there were no little kids, but he loved climbing and sliding just the same.
He has been so eager in fact, the other day he tried to start walking across the neighbors yard yelling, "Lets go!" back at me. I guess that means we will be making a couple trips a week to keep him, busy!
Cloth diaper material shopping this weekend!! Even more exciting! hehe I WILL make these diapers, work! I'm just curious as to how to test them, since it will be quite a bit of time until the baby is born between making them. I was planning on making 24 newborn diapers and 24 mediums, just to be on the safe side. I guess I could try to pick a sized one to Riley's and test an over night diaper, since he does still have accidents, may save me some sheet laundry.
At least I have something a little more to blog about, maybe I'll spam myself with nonsense over the next 8 months!

Cloth Diapers
First of all Happy Father's day!! (Though this post is posted the day after, I did start it yesterday, never got around to finishing.) Hubby and I put up some new blinds on the porch and in my laundry room. The ones in my laundry room were SO old, they were falling apart, the string literally fell off when I pulled them up to clean last. lol I didn't work him too hard though, on Fathers day, no worries! The idea to replace them all was mostly his idea anyhow, we had a great family day!
Though it is very early yet. My first OB/GYN visit is not until July 5th. I have decided this time around, I am going to use Cloth Diapers. I am not only going to use them, I am going to make them myself! I figured, I best get an early start if I am going to do it, since my projects tend to sit around sometimes. I will be making gender neutral just in case we decide to not find out.
I am a bit confused about what type of cloth material to use, but I have decided I am going to do the All in two (AI2) method. That looks to be the easiest for our particular needs, especially drying. I am going to look into snaps, but unless they carry a cheap press at one of the local stores, I am going to just go with the velcro type closures. I think velcro may be easiest for hubby and grandparents, at least to start out.
Here is the pattern I came across that I will be making. I am going to make both Newborn and Mediums.

So far, I am still lacking on info for the material on the inner layer, I will be doing the stuffing method, so I believe this does make a difference. I had thought to get two types of fabric, printed for the outer and a corresponding plain color for the inner. I found some super cute fleece fabric for $3 a yard, but I'm unsure if this is the type of inner material that can be used. The second is washing instructions. I have come across so much information about this that I am beyond lost. If you are able to make soakers out of cheap cotton from thrift stores, does it then need to be washed with a specific soap? Yeah, confusing much! lol
Oh, just to add, hubby is as excited as he gets about all things baby, but he is wishing for a girl! He even said we need to start thinking about names, he has dibs this time around. lol!

Preggers or not, that is the question!
So here I am after many months of nothing, I'm just not a big time blogger.
I've thought about having another child, but it was just a thought, not something planned. It seems, or so I think, that someone else has other plans! I'm never late, the damn thing is like clockwork, but it could just be late, right?
I'm just gonna grab a home test this evening and I guess that'll tell me yes or no... when it says yes, that's the scary part!
I am extremely nervous and a little bit frightened that it will be another special needs baby. I don't mind having a baby, that part is fine, it's just worrying about how he or she will be. I had an extremely wonderful pregnancy my first time around. I still can't help but think I did something wrong. I ate the wrong thing, I had a cup of coffee when I shouldn't have. It's beyond scary. I'm fairly sure my husband is less than thrilled, I can't read him, he hides his thoughts.
On top of it, I'm fairly sure we'll be looking for a new place, I don't mind, we could use a bigger house and I guess a bigger yard. This has already been talked about long before the thoughts of being pregnant. Of course, money is the constant nagging thing that keeps us back from what we would like, I had wanted to get a part time job, I'm not so sure I will be able to do that now.
I was just getting ready to have a huge yard sale to get rid of all my old baby gear, isn't it funny how that happens? Even better, I'll end up keeping it and it will be a girl? lol! Doubtful, but isn't that how this works? hehehe
I'm not even sure why I am writing this, it will change nothing, but I guess it helps to get out feelings. Nobody reads this thing anyhow! lol
